Roadmap
Where alias is going, in public. We publish this, and a monthly changelog, so you can verify the project is actively developed before trusting it with your email. Last updated July 2026.
Shipped
- The core, done properly. Forwarding, identity-safe reverse-alias replies, DKIM signing, VERP bounce accounting, ARC sealing for strict receivers, and MTA-STS in enforce mode with a public security scorecard.
- Anonymous by design. Numbered accounts (no email, no name), payment by card, Bitcoin, Monero, or cash by mail, and metadata-only anti-abuse: we never scan message content.
- Full sending. Real SMTP submission so you can send from an alias in any mail client, plus an optional per-alias inbox for aliases with no forwarding mailbox.
- Power-user organization. Tags, advanced search, bulk operations, presets, directories, burner/scheduled aliases, and a rules engine with regex matching and dry-run testing.
- Custom domains. Guided DNS setup, catch-all, per-domain DKIM.
- Ecosystem. Browser extension, Bitwarden generator integration, SimpleLogin/addy.io importer, webhooks, scoped API keys, and an installable app (PWA).
Ahead
- Passkeys. WebAuthn login alongside the account number.
- RAM-only mail processing. In-flight messages never touch disk.
- Native mobile apps. Beyond the installable PWA.
- Managed MTA-STS for custom domains. We host the policy so your domain gets enforce-mode transport security without extra setup.
- Safari port of the browser extension.
No dates promised. Items ship when they're solid, and land on the changelog when they do.
